Common Questions
Who do you work with?
What is the first session like?
Your first session begins with a brief conversation about your health history, current concerns, and goals for treatment. Together, we’ll create a plan tailored specifically to your body and what you’re needing that day.
Once you’re settled on the table, your full 60 or 90 minutes of hands-on time begins. After the session, we’ll take a few moments to discuss how you’re feeling and any recommended aftercare to support continued relief.
How does timing work?
Due to set up and break down of the massage table, you should expect an extra 30 minutes on top of your hands-on time (15 minutes before, 15 minutes after). This is to allow space while I set up and break down the massage table, as well as allow us some wiggle room to chat without having to feel rushed. Your hands-on time doesn't start until you are on the table, so you can rest easy knowing you are getting your full 60, or 90 minutes of bliss no matter what time we get started.
Why do I recommend 90 min sessions?
My approach is slow, detailed, and therapeutic. For women experiencing chronic pain, tension in multiple areas, postpartum recovery, or full-body work, a 90-minute session allows us to address the primary concern while also exploring contributing patterns throughout the body.
The body is interconnected. Low back discomfort may stem from the hips or abdomen. Shoulder tension may contribute to wrist pain. Longer sessions give us the time to work thoroughly and effectively without rushing.
Tangled Remedies is a women-centered massage practice specializing in neck pain, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and therapeutic bodywork.
While I work with a variety of clients, my practice is rooted in supporting women through the physical demands of daily life, motherhood, and healing.
How often can I receive maternity massage?
For a healthy, low-risk pregnancy, many women benefit from massage once per week to support circulation, reduce swelling, ease discomfort, and prepare the body for labor.
That said, every pregnancy is unique. Some women choose weekly care, others biweekly or monthly. We can determine a rhythm that feels supportive and sustainable for you.
If you are experiencing a high-risk pregnancy, please consult with your provider before booking.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, credit/debit cards, and Venmo are accepted.
If you are interested in bartering, please inquire directly.
