Common Questions

What is the first session like?

Mobile Sessions- I strive to arrive about 15 minutes before your session start time. The early arrival time is used to move anything needed in the room to make space, set up the massage table, have you fill out paperwork and talk about what you are looking for out of our time together.

We will create a treatment plan based on your individual needs, and once that is agreed upon the session starts.

After our session, I will clean up and put the space back together if items needed to be moved. During this time we will discuss how you feel, after-care instructions and anything else you may need.

How does timing work?

Mobile Sessions - Due to set up and break down of the massage table, you should expect an extra 30 minutes on top of your hands-on time (15 minutes before, 15 minutes after). This is to allow space while I set up and break down the massage table, as well as allow us some wiggle room to chat without having to feel rushed. Your hands-on time doesn't start until you are on the table, so you can rest easy knowing you are getting your full 60, 90 minutes of bliss no matter what time we get started.

Why do I recommend 90 min sessions?

My style is slow, deep and detailed. If you have chronic pain, multiple areas of discomfort or would like a full body, I always recommend starting with a 90 minute session. With this amount of time, we can give your areas of complaint plenty of love, while also being able to check out the rest of the body and see what could be contributing to your discomfort. When it comes to the body, everything is connected. We often find that, for example, your low back discomfort is actually coming from the abdomen and hips. Or your knee pain is coming from the glutes... Wrist pain coming from the shoulder. Etc... Starting with longer sessions insures that we have no need to rush through any area that ails you.

How often can I receive maternity massage?

In a normal, non high risk pregnancy, it is recommended to receive a one hour  massage per week to prepare the body for labor, reduce pain and swelling.

You are the only one who knows what your body needs though. I've seen Mamas  weekly, biweekly, and monthly.  I suggest looking within and asking yourself what the right care plan for you and your baby will be then go with that.

What forms of payment do I accept?

I accept Cash, Credit/Debit Cards, Venmo, and Bartering.
